Young People

Arts Award 2017

37 Young people completed their Bronze Arts Award accreditation through the Gr@nd.

This involved them taking part in any art form, which in our case they took part in Gifted Young Gravesham, either through performing, joining the tech team or working behind the stage and the helping with the planning process.

The group also attended and reviewed a London musical and took part in an art workshop which was run by Mike Southern, who has performed in the musical Blood Brothers in the West End and runs Stage Ed Theatre School. Finally, all the young people did a write up on their arts inspiration.

Mike Southern and Steve Palfreman from Stage Ed, were joined by Councillor Jordan Meade, the Conservative Party Cabinet Member for Tourism & Youth who presented the young people with their awards
